They used to advertise it as "A Distortion Pedal Connected To A Speaker"

The Wreck is the best sounding amp I've ever had. 30 watts is perfect for my needs
and it sounds fantastic with the Tele, Strat, Paul or Ric. I haven't used any of my other amps since I got it.

I have a DR Z Mazerati that was originally in a 2x12 combo but I built a head cab so that I could use different speaker cabs and because that 2x12 was one heavy sucker!
In this pic I have my Lil' Dawg D-Lux running with the Z as a back up. I have since built another head box for the Z. That Mazerati is a great sounding amp and I've been very pleased with it. if it has a fault, it has got to be bleedingly loud to get any crunch. Otherwise, it takes pedals really well and has a very lush clean sound. The single tone knob is all I've needed on that amp as it has a very wide range that allows both single coils and humbuckers to have a sweet spot. |

Really no "best" Dr. Z. They are all killer. Best for you is what you want. Best Dr. Z is like saying whats the best Ferrari? I wouldn't kick any of them out of my garage.
That said, Maz18 or 38. |
