I spoke to customer care at sweetwater. They guaranteed a shipping date of the 8th. They only had 15, and my buddy is number 11. So, perhaps the preorders hit 15 and now they are back out of stock...until may.

The clips sound ok, I just keep thinking how many other ways I could spend $300.
Even a Mustang III sounds more appealing to me.

As soon as I saw the promos, I thought I'd be interested.

The more I saw & heard, the less I was though...?

Terrible sounding promos. The commercial sounds pretty good though. Have to wait and hear. I'm thinking it'll be perfect for my lap steel, and my flatwound strung guitars. Really get that old recorded Ernest Tubb sound, kind of funky and low to the ground. I bet a Germanium fuzz face clone + Teisco will sound pretty nasty through this as well.

where did you find 15% off, if you don't mind me asking?

That demo didn't sound bad to me either, actually. about what I expect. Screw it, I just pulled the trigger.

I'm waiting to get one used and then have my tech rip out that pcb and point to point wire it.

After breaking her in a bit, I'm really liking the amp. The 15" sounds nice and open, Fender-y cleans up to gritty, lo-fi breakup. Impressed with the tremelo too.

Downsides - IMO, the Bright channel is pretty much unusable, that treble will rip your head off. Also, the speaker jack is fairly difficult to reach. The output tubes have a little cage around them. If not for that, it would be very easy to burn yourself if you tried to disconnect the speaker right after powering down.

Overall, a well spent $300

Thanks for the review. Lo-fi breakup is exactly what I was hoping for.

How about the different inputs? Are they all useable? Is there a good variety of sounds between them?

I think you're supposed to use the bright channel with humbuckers.
