Fender Super Champ XD vs Fender Super Champ X2

Had my eye on the XD. Lookin' at 15W, tube, and price. Emailed Fender with a couple of XD questions. Never heard back 'til yesterday. Fender dude sent me the spec for the Super Champ X2 cpmared to the XD. Hmmmm not familiar with the X2. No wonder. The Fender email reply says "X2 introduced: 1/2012". I see the X2's are available as I searched the internet. Anyone tried the X2?

Thanks

It's not out yet. You'll hear more on the press release coming out of NAMM this week where it's being introduced. From what I've read, the big difference between the old and new models is the USB interface so you can connect it to the FUSE software/website. Also, there's a head only model.

I was kind of hoping the X2 might have an onboard tuner, as the Champ/XD series seems to have everything else built in, why not?

I'd love to get one of these amps- I have played/gigged with my buddy's Super Champ XD (even A/B'd it against his brother's real '66 Princeton Reverb and it held its own), love the Voicings, features; think these little guys sound great!

Look around- you may still find one of the discontinued XDs out there.
I picked up a spare last month when they were $199-wasn't sure if they were going to be completely discontinued or not.

Thanks everybody. Think i'm gonna stick with plan A. Suspect a used XD will come along quickly for half the price of the X2
