Blues Jr for large venue?

I use my BJ exclusively because I love its tone, size, etc.
In small places, I use it unmiced; in a dance hall, I mic it thru the PA with excellent results. This summer I will be playing with a different band at a large scale country show with pro sound setup. I'm wondering if I can still use my Blues Jr and have them mic it as usual. Will it be up to the task? Or should I consider renting a Twin or something? I'll be playing lead for these people with a Nashville Tele.
Any comments?
Brian

stick with the blues jr. if it has the sound you're looking for...if everything is being mic-ed, i can't see a problem.

Frankly I would go with the Twin. If you're planning on playing any outdoor venues the BJ will get lost in the mix. Maybe not FOH, but definitely on stage. ANd you do want to hear yourself right?
Of course if you have your own monitor tech mixing for you then the BJ would be fine.

B-Jr

if 'twere me, i'd get another Jr and run in stereo....wouldn't necessarily have to be any louder, but you'd be pushing more air....BUT it's your sound....i'd stick with the Jr and mic it.....despite the "size" of the crowd, i'd be willing to bet your stage levels won't be any different from what you're used to....a trick i saw once: the small amp facing the player kinda like a floor monitor.....loud enough for him....

I'd rent three more and stack 'em up like Jerry Garcia used to do with Twin Reverbs.
