I've played through them both at a local store and they are good sounding.. The 30 watt version is more versatile, having more headroom. If you just want to crank out distortion, the 10 watt version is the way to go.

It's small, having a 6" speaker. Smaller than my Marshall MG15CDR. I would mic it for recording but for a live gig it would be totally at the mercy of the live mix. The OC10 sounds much better than the little Vox Brian May amp @ about the same volume.

I had a Crush 10 for about a year as my small, headphone capable, SS practice amp, but I recently traded up to a Valvetronix 15W, since I practically stole it off ebay.
The Crush is pretty good though, i like the distortion sounds that come out of it, and for a 6" speaker it's surprisingly good. I can only imagine that the larger ones would just be that much better. --Matt |

Crush 10
Dont let the name fool you. I have the Crush 10 and the back says 20 watts. It gets real loud for such a small speaker (6" I think) I never really get it past 1 1/2 at home. The distortion is great but you might want more headroom for live shows. It looks real cool though, I'm sure with a good PA you could turn A LOT of heads mic-ing one up. (no one would believe the sound from that tiny amp live) It would crunch real well. After that you would most likely want more head room. I really wish it had a speaker output, pluging it in to a two twleve cab would be extreamly interesting to me. I caught a new shop off gaurd and pulled it out of there for $50 bucks. Best value of any piece of equipment ever for me. Lots of quality from anything Orange, from everyone I have read or talked to. Cant go wrong IMHO.

Yes it would, but...
1 little crush miced to a good PA would sound huge and, oh by the way its all out of a tiny 18" by 18" cab from a 6" speaker. it would make people sick that just spent a couple grand on a cab and head :D
