The first amp I ever owned is up and running again (pic)
I have no idea about these amps, but it was the first amp I ever owned. I bought it at a yard sale when I was around 12. I mentioned it to the guy that I bought the 65 Bassman head from. The first thing he said is "I'll buy it." I told him it wasn't for sale. He asked me to bring it in and he'd get it up and running again.
It only needed a tube socket and a new rectifier tube. He used a NOS RCA tube. Total cost for parts and labor....$30. Here it is:

Wow, I love it! How does it sound?
I always search ebay for those type of amps but never pull the trigger on em. I just don't know enough about them to make an 'educated' desicion and make the purchase. I still love to look... |

The only controls on it are: volume tone tremolo reverb Just a little more info on it. The writing towards the top left of the face reads Corsica S6622 There's a small sticker on the back of the amp chassis that reads D-4292 It has a single 12" Jensen with a gold and brown label that has C12Q stamped on the outside lip. The tubes in it are as follows: 1--5Y3-GT 1--6V6GT 4--12AX7 That's all I've got on it right now. Joel

A buddy of mine has the same amp!
That is a great amp. I just wish it were louder cause it sounds great. It's real fun watching him get shocks all the time too! I think his is from the early '50's. Does that sound correct?

Supro!
I love Supro amps. I have an ancient one -- not sure of the model -- but it has two 6l6s and a 15-inch Jensen. The chassis is mounted on the bottom of the cabinet. It has an accordion switch and the sickest tremolo you've ever heard...
It sounds amazing. Supro temolo is something to behold... |
