I own the YVC-50. It's a limited edition model, though at some point I am sure they will do a full production run of them. The differences are that it's blue, it's 50 watts which the other models aren't available in, and that is has different tubes then other models. It has 2 EL34's and 3 12AX7A's. This gives it a different sound then the other models.
Anyway, while I believe mine has the best specs, you can't go wrong with any of these amps. They are built amazing, sound amazing, and on top of that they have a full 2 year warranty. Even if you break it they will replace it (within reason). It's actually called the "Even If You Break It Warranty". I think older and newer Traynors are the most under-rated amps out there. The new models are easily comparable to any other brands combos, and in my opinion are made even better. Plus they are half the cost. |

The difference between the YCV20 and the 20WR is the speaker and amp covering. The WR comes with a greenback celestion speaker, whereas the 20 comes with a rocket celestion (i think)
If you can spend the extra $$ go for the YCV40 or 40WR |

I got a YCV20WR recently. I think it's a great home and jam amp, but isnt' really loud enough to keep up with the average drummer, unless you like a lot of gain with your volume. Different sound than the YCV40 as it uses EL84s. Stays clean at lower volumes, but has a nice crunch on the clean channel when cranked and a lot of gain on the dirty channel. I'm playing with different tubes to keep the gain down a bit. Top notch build quality. Some issues about how hard it is to get at the tubes, but a trip the the hardware store for the right tools solved that. Not Fendery sounding unless you include the Blues Junior, and I think the Traynor is a much better and more flexible amp. Some have compared it's sound to Vox and Marshalls, but I think it has it's own tone going. You'll have to try it out to see if you like it.

Thanks for the replies. I tried one, and it sounds great. I think I like it better than the other amps I tried in it's class, because it has a standby switch. I had a Pro Jr., but sold it. I wanted a little different sound. I also use a Bassman Ten with my Tele. Sounds good with a Gretsch with Dynas too. I think I'll take my guitar with me, and go play it some more.
