Help, Whats wrong with my Pro Jr?
After ten or 15 minutes of playing, the amp just dies on me. You can barely hear it if you get close. Nothing happens when I jiggle the tubes. If I let it sit a while, at least an hour, turned off, it is fine for another 15 minutes, then does the same thing. Whats wrong wif it?
Thanks, Wayne |

First let me say that I'm not an amp tech, so keep that in mind.
The first thing that I'd do would be to change out the output tubes with some fresh ones. If it STILL does it, then I'd shut it down, and DON'T continue to run it. Take it to an amp tech.

Don't spend money yet!
It sounds like a bad solder joint. It may have a crack in a solder spot that opens up as the pc board gets warm. It should be under warranty. If your warranty is expired, then you can easily see it by taking the amp where sunlight will illuminate it. I've fixed a ton of electronic stuff this way. From relays to computer control modules. Bright, even indirect, sunlight will let you see cracks that you won't see indoors at all. Touch them up with a soldering gun and a small dab of solder.
