NAD - Baby blackstar

Hi All
Dropped into the local branch of PMT in Bristol to look around, with an idea that I wanted a small valve amp - for home use and recording - I was drawn to the Vox AC5, but a quick play and I had to go for the Blackstar HT5 - the clean sound, and the line out being the clincher,
After a day or so playing it, i couldnt be happier-very well put together, a warm (to my ears) clean sound, and a range of gain sounds - its incredibly quiet, no hiss or hum - and taking the line out direct into my laptop sounds superb -
I mostly play Beatles/Stones type stuff - and it does that very well - a bit of gain and it does classic rock - not sure about country tones though.

I agree .I have one .They are really fine amps .
