Behringer GM110

Hey,
I just bought a Behringer Vintager GM110 for playing around the house at 2:00 am and rehearsing with my band. I think my Marshall DSL 2000 may see less playing time in the clubs. This amp is really nice! I don't change my amp settings often. I just like a good basic tone and this little monster has it. I use the mic out into the PA to make up for the 30 watts it puts out.

Does anyone else have one of these amps? If so, are you having the same amount of fun I am having with it.

HAD a Behringer GM110?

Rob's review clinched my buying one - very pleased - especially once I realized I could also pipe in my POD directly into FX return in back and access 10" speaker in nice solid cabinet. That alone is worth the price.

But Rob.... you say "had one"? Que dan?

GM110 pricing

FYI - Don't know what price you saw in the store (I couldn't find one in ANY store locally, despite rather well-stocked choices in all many brands) but on-line the GM110 can be had for $99 + about $7 s&h.

Ah yes, a true tube amp snob would never be caught with an s/s amp, now would I?

After modding it, and having a ball playing it, a local guitarit sweet-talked it out of my amp stable ... gone, but not at all forgotten - and IMO, one of a very few worthy s/s g'tar amps. 8)

Rain on the parade

Not to be a wet blanket, but I wasn't so pleased with the one I had. No matter what I did, there was some sort of underlying "noise" in the background of everything I did. I enjoyed running my Yamaha DG Stomp into the effects return, bypassing the pre-amp, but, the noise was still there leading me to believe the noise was in the amplifier iteself. I got rid of it and got a Marshall MG15FX for my practice purposes. Kind of buzzy at high gains but sounds a heck of a lot better than what I had. YMMV. Having owned a number of Behringer products, make sure to test them out thoroughly. QA is varied.
