I recently picked up an old '55 Champ and I love it... great clean tone and unbeatable OD. so, then I sold one of my bigger amps and bought another one... Now I have a spare, I will try them in parallel.

How much do they go for nowadays? Do they not fall under the category of "much revered" and therefore costly?

A '55 Champ probably is significantly more expensive than a '68, but I nabbed a '68 for $250 down here in Cuyahoga Falls, Randy.

Here's the first one... the tweed was replaced sometime ago.

Just won the ebay auction last night for the second one. Hopefully, I'll have it in a week or so.

OK. I can be patient. Thanks for the first pic - very nice looking amp!

Audley Freed playing a Senn t type through a 56 CHamp... Gives a good idea what a tele sounds like through one of the little 5F1's.
