I have one in my office. Nice amp once you remove the god - awful stock speaker and replace the stock tubes.

I haven't changed the tubes yet, but I agree that replacing the stock speaker is a good way to improve the amp by far.

Just got mine last night.

I was able to work a deal at Music123 where they did a price match recently for $265. Forget what it was. I think it was an older price match for some promo I saw somewhere.

I'll tell you this. You go on their website and do a price match, saying that GC is offering a 15% trade in trade up, they will likely match it for you.

$279 - 15% = $237.15 shipped, no tax.

Worth a shot.

And definitely worth getting this amp. Haven't spent a ton of time with it yet but I didn't get much sleep last night because I couldn't stop playing the thing. Voice #7 (British combo) is haunting me while I'm at work. Can't wait to fire it up again.

Everyone's talking about the speaker upgrade. Lots mention the Ragin Cajun. Is it worth it to try breaking in the stock one first?

Now I get to brag. I picked one up for $199 when MF was having its Fender promotions last year. Great deal. Very nice amp for rehearsals and small gigs. I haven't changed anything on it and it sounds good to me. I am tempted, though, to throw a Ragin Cajun in it from all the good things I've heard here.

I waited too long to get mine. That's all I can say.

Too many dollars, too many transactions. The Gear-Hound anthem personified.

Plain BF, and channels 2,7, and 8 make this thing one of the "all-time" values.

Far more three dimensional sounding than it should be at it's price point.

Another note: I've had boutique combos that rattled significantly more than this one does.

I am also a big fan of channel 2. Great tone with just a little hair on it.

I totally agree. I'll add 13 and 14 to my preferences also. Gotta tweak the highs a bit to smooth them out but they work. I run mine through an old Celestion 80-12" that I had around. Really brings out the hair on those sounds.
