Looking to pick up a Blues Jr

I have a $100 coupon code for MF that needs to be used before March 31, 2010. And I am looking to purchase a Blues Jr.

Currently the sites I've been searching are selling it for $499...anyone know of any places selling it cheaper so I can try to get a price match from MF?

I just recieved a Guitar Center March Mini Catalog in the mail. They advertized Fender amps at prices too low to print. You could call Guitar Center. Best Buy stores that have guitar gear sometimes have crazy low prices.

I picked up a blues jr tweed NOS about 6 months ago and I would highly recommend it. They are $579 but I also had a $100 off coupon and got it for $479. I am very happy with it and when playing them side by side the speaker upgrade really made a big difference vs the standard blues jr. Anyway call up musicians friend and see what they can do to the price. I've been surprised many times by calling up and saying something just costs too much so they give you an extra 10 or 15% off. It depends on who is on the phone though. I've called right back and spoke to someone different about the exact same product and gotten a discount from them and not the other. Just ask for the discount believe me they will see what they can do.

Musicians Friend and Guitar Center is the same company and GC will match MF prices. Last year GC matched MF , Fender Friday price of $299 on a MIM Tele which I bought. The best part is I was able to play different Teles until I found the one. So request they match the MF price with the coupon. Good Luck.

$499 is the current street price for a new BJr, which, by the way, is a great little amp.

There are lots of mods that you could do (or not). The only alterations I made was swapping out the stock speaker for an Emmy C-Rex and swapping out the stock tubes for a new set of JJ's and EHX's.
