What is your favorite speaker?
What is your favorite speaker? And also for what type of music? like the weber silverbell for classic rock or the alnico blue for twang... etc. etc.

Howdy,
Jimmy, you've already named my two favorite speakers! The Weber AlNiCo Silver Bell lets my Dr. Z Carmen Ghia achieve pleasing, chimey clean tones. And of course the "Ya-Ya's" tones are there when cranked. I've played a C-blue an it's fantastic, too. Eggman |

Don't know about favourites, but I recently put an Eminence Lil' Buddy in a solid state amp and it improved immensely. I also like other Eminence speakers like the Cannabis Rex. I don't seem to get along with Celestions except sometimes the Vintage 30.
Peace, Mike. |

Totally depends on the amp for me. My Fenders are loaded with Webers.

It all depends on the amp, cabinet and soundwishes imo.
I really like: Celestion Alnico Blue in a tweed Deluxe (5E3) Celestion G65 in blackface/silverface 20+ Watts amps 80/90s Celestion 10L35s in SuperReverbs (blackface/silverface) EV15xxx in a '64 style Fender blackface VibroVerb Old or Heritage Celestion M20s for a creamy/smooth Plexi-style amp Old Celestion M25 Greenbacks for AC/DC, etc. with a Plexi style amp Celestion Vintage 30s (in a closed back cab!) for VOX style amps etc. |

Has to be the JBL D130 a magnificent piece of engineering. Those were the days, when Fender made twins with JBL speakers. I would buy a new twin but you no longer have the option of decent speakers.

I am torn between my Weber california's and my '59 Blue Bell in my GA-30 Invader. Two totally different but amazing sounds.
Everything I have tried form Weber has been top notch. Any future speaker upgrades will be Webers for sure.

That's got to be the rattiest looking speaker I've seen in some time. Time to replace it!
