Newbie question

Hello all, I am new to the forum and have a question. I am unsure if this is where it goes, but here it is: I play a new Fender Highway One Tele and am getting a lot of "hiss" out of my amp when playing on my lead channel. The amp is a Crate GT1200H with 4X12 cabinet. On the clean channel, there is no hiss. What can I do to eliminate this? I hate having to switch the channel when I stop playing to avoid the loud hissing. Thanks for your help. What a great forum devoted to Teles. I love it so far. Have been lurking for a long while now.

Lol. If I was asking a question, and got this answer from a luthier, I would be sooo pissed.

Thanks for the welcome! I also got a good chuckle out of the replies. Do I need a noise suppressor pedal? Maybe it's the amp? I have no clue.
