2 ohm 212 to 8 ohm

Hi, I'm just wondering if it's possible to change a 212 2 ohm cab to a 8 ohm cab.

Thanks!

Yes. If the two 12's in your cab are 4 ohms each, wired in parallel for 2 ohms total, you can wire them in series for 8 ohms total.

two 8 ohm speakers will be wired parallel 4, and series 16
two 16 ohm speakers will be 8 or 32ohms

If yo have two speakers and it is correctly marked a 2 ohm cab, they can only be 4 OHM speakers/drivers.

You can wire the 2 4ohm speakers series and have an 8 ohm cab.

If you're looking to use that cab with an 8 ohm amp, get a Weber Z-Matcher and end all your cab-to-head matching issues forever

Yes, another vote for the mighty Weber Z-Matcher. A veritable Swiss Army Knife of connectivity.
