What is a "combo" amp?

OK I thought I knew what a "combo" amp was but after seeing the selection of amps on that auction web site I do not understand all I know about combo amps. So whats the 411?
What makes an amp a "Combo" amp.

A combo is where the power head and speaker cab are one unit.

A combo amp amplifies your guitar and cuts your grass.

I would go with a cool bastardization, or a wonderful abomnation.

Don't just tease us, how about some details?

Of course, if you had a Gibson Corvus, you would already have the opener:

haha! actually it's a trick photo (shot it with the opener laying on the side, then rotated it to appear it was right side up with the opener mounted to the side). but in the '70s, i might have considered it for real!
