1950 Fender Super V front not selling on EBAY

Hi I love the look of these and would love one. Not sure how they sound but it is 3th grade again and I want that cool red 3 speed, bannana seat, high back bar, racing striped Columbia bike. Amazing this is getting no bids, ended once at $900 the opening bid. Buy it now is out of control levels. Prices are coming down I guess. Anyone play through these and how are they? I heard you get unhappy rattles due to the angled design and construction. Here is the link to the amp: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

It's probably getting no bids because everyone is sitting on their hands until the last second. Everyone except for the greenhorns who think they'll get it for around a grand, that is.

I'd start with a Weber 5C5 chassis and roll my own. I'd end up with something like a tweed Super / tweed Bassman / '50s Gibson in a "V" front cabinet.

I'd cop a Schwinn Pea Picker vibe and cover mine w/ green metalflake vinyl.

I gotta say, the bike analogy is coming from the wrong era. That amp equates to a big ol' heavy paperboy bike with a Whizzer engine strapped on. The banana-seated, high-rise, candy-coloured bikes are from the CBS era. (Mine was a blue Schwinn Stingray with the 5 speed stickshift on the top tube. Dangerous, for the obvious reason.)
