DRRI vs AC15

I love both of their sounds and am having a hard time choosing. I play very little with pedals, almost always clean- maybe a teeny bit of distortion or delay.
I'm considering a used AC15 with the blue dog, or a stock DRRI- which are roughly the same price.
What to do, what to do?

The answer is invariably the simplest: get one of each.

I had a DRRI and traded it for a Vox AC15 with a Eminence Alnico Speaker. No knock on the DRRI, I just never really made friends with it. A bit too much for a home amp.

If all you need is clean, the DRRI might be a fine choice. Me? I'm probably gonna pull the trigger on an AC15CC1 within the next day or so. I like a little breakup in my tone most of the time, it loves pedals and I can mic it on Sundays (or not, depends on the drummer!!)

I had both. I still have the DRRI.
I could not get on with the Vox.
I'm learning I'm just not an EL84 kinda guy.

I have an AC15 and love it to death but if you're big into clean tones the DRRI might make more sense. The AC15 has good cleans at low volume but the amp is at its best when slightly breaking up which may or may not be a sound you want

+1 - The Vox break up is a beautiful thing. Get both, you know you wanna do it!

Have you actually played through both amps? They're nothing alike. None of us can tell you whether you like the Vox sound better than the Fender Blackface sound, or vice versa. Make sure to try the AC15 with the Celestion Blue, otherwise you're not hearing the classic sound of the amp. You'll have a definite preference because the amps are so different, bu none of us can predict which you'll prefer.
