Fender Dual Showman with Deville cab?

I recently bought a Fender Dual Showman (silverface with bf wiring, late 60s model) for very cheap. It sounded so nice with the vibrato I didn't really check how many ohms it was (I think it may be 4 and 8 ohms). Now I have a gig this weekend and no cab to use. My friend owns a Deville 2X12 and said I could borrow it. I am not a big fan of the Deville, but would it be possible (and matched) to somehow connect it to the cab? . Could someone help me out?

If the impedance matches up, then you can do it. You might have to make, buy, or borrow a cable that can hook up the 1/4" output from your amp to the spade terminals on his speakers.

Dual Showman's are rated at 4 ohms and the DeVille's at 4 or 8 ohms, so this shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks I always mess up the ohms with my amps. I recently blew up a phono receiver I bought at a yard sale

The Deville has two Eminance Gold Label 8 ohm 12's in parallel, which is 4 ohms. No issues. I currently have my Deville 12's plugged into a Bandmaster head.

from Fender:

HOT ROD DEVILLE HOT ROD DEVILLE 212

POWER OUTPUT: 60W into 8W or 4W at 5% THD 60W into 8W or 4W at 5% THD

Check the power handling of the speakers. Dual Showmans are 85 watts (clean) of sonic massiveness. If you play loud, you run the risk of making black snow with your friend's speakers (since we don't know what's in there).
