A friend of mine's got an mg amp, handbuilt in poland, near danzig. he lent it to me for a session and the recordings sound pretty cool.

No but there is a guy on the Orange Forum that does own a few of their amps (He's from Poland of course) and swears by them. His user name is "Zombie Youth Revolt" I think he plays Metal..

I was thinking about their smallest combo, the blues 20.

My friend has the vintage which I played for a session, but I do not need channel switching.

a bit softer sounding then the fender amps I normally use.
I have a recording of that session and it seems to be just right.

well, after playing another friends princeton reverb reissue I am tempted to go and get one of those. or just stay with my bjr. arrrgh. G.A.S. or what?

hi eddie and TG,
they are priced very comfortable. if you go to sklep (shop) you'll find the prices. they offer some options like colour, tube rectifier and reverb.
I calculated a blues 20 combo in cream with celestion seventy 80 speaker, tube rectifier and reverb to go for 1927,60 Zloty, today round about 450 Euros, 662 USD.

the one I played (not the blues but the vintage) sounded round, I did not mess with the controls (there where too many, so I had my friend Anton, the owner who happens to be polish, turn the knobs) but used my guitar controls to, yes, control the sound from clean to nice warm overdrive. not as bright as a fender, more even over the frequency range, matchless came to my mind, never heard a dr. z. sorry.
I'll have to talk to Anton about these amps again, because the website is only polish. Anton seems to be kind of a gearhead, he told me he owns like 5 amps, his wife smiling somehow in resignation, when he listed them to me.
I'll get back with more information soon.

Interesting site

Some good looking products but they are limiting their market by only having the site in Polish (unless I missed a translation link?). I would have suspected their market to be Germany, hence a German link, or do you learn Polish in schools in Germany.

I speak English, French and some German but I've never been inclined to learn Polish.

I think this is a young and small company, which acts local for now. If I would not know my friend from Poland, I'd never heard of them. If they have enough to do satisfying the local market, they'd better grow slowly and expand their market when it is their time to do so.
