(Sort of) New Amp

I posted about an amp project a while back (and I'm too lazy to look up the post) and I actually had the amp built. I picked the amp up in May, but between a whole lot of things, it has hardly been played and I haven't posted any pictures.

Here's my "new" toy:

It's a Weber 6A14HP (a Princeton Reverb circuit with 6L6s instead of 6V6s) kit with a 15" Weber California speaker that I had a local amp tech put together. He did a phenomenal job and it's a terrific amp. I didn't feel like taking the amp apart for internal pictures, but it's a neat job indeed and he asked me if I'd mind if he substituted his own solid core cloth covered wire that matches original Fender color coding. Uh, no, I didn't mind.

The tubes are all used, tested good, GEs, although the rectifier is actually a re-labled Mullard.

I've had a chance recently to play this amp a bit more and it's truly wonderful, it sounds a lot like a (somewhat) smaller version of a Twin and has all the clean I could ask for. The aluminum dust cap on the speaker didn't result in a harsh amp either, just nice, defined highs.

Oops, I was about to post this when I remembered this picture that the builder sent me:
