I need to replace my Weber Signature 8 smooth cone speaker in my GA-5 reissue. Any suggestions for a new speaker in this amp? I've heard mixed reviews on the Jensen reissues. Always wanted to try a Celestion Super 8 in this amp.

That should work fine. You might also look into the Jensen C8R.

I think for that amp I like the Jensen Mod-8 better than the C8R.

Jensen Mod 8" is a killer little speaker. Seriously under-priced.

I love the ribbed Weber Sig 8s in my '68 Champ. I'm amazed at how full it sounds.

What does the Mod-8 sound like? I have a Swart Space Tone (5 watts, Weber sig8 ceramic speaker) that sounds great, but I'd like to get a little more high end out of it. Would the Jensen be brighter than the Weber?
