I need a hard-to-find part...

I'm looking for the flat washer-type thingy that fits under the jewel light on my 75 Deluxe reverb. I don't know how to describe it any better. It's not actually a part of the jewel light, it's like a big spacer or washer that is held in place when you screw the jewel light in. I do know that the part is different depending on what year amp you're putting it on. The one on my 68 DR is smaller than the one I'm looking for for my 75. The one I need is made of chrome and at least a half inch wide.

Thanks for any advice as to where to find this little part....

did you try your local family hardware store?

a lot of these items can be found at your local hw store.
Just a thought.

send an e-mail to Earcraft in Dover, New Hampshire.
They used to have drawers loaded with that kind of
stuff, chassis straps, jewel lights, knobs, etc.

Nope - it's a really thin washer...not hardware store stock.

This is why we need to establish amp junkyards that people can visit for spare parts.

Of course, you'd probably just see heaps of 1x8 practice amps, and the occasional Peavey combo that had actually been hit by a truck or something...

There is another option

I can think of: Go to your local library and grab a copy
of a "Thomas's Register" (the "F" volume to be precise)
and look up "FASTENERS"....this should provide You with several companies in your area, someone'll have it in house.
Wanna find something ask a purchasing agent .

I have some

of those washers with a bunch of the pilot light assemblies and will be glad to mail you one. I bought a bunch of parts from an amp company a while back and got a lot of amp odds & ends.
It will have to wait till next week though.
I'm in Tokyo through next Sunday.
PM me with your address.
