Almost there.

Trying to downsise my Rig still. I'm halfway there. Put my 50 watt Plexi in a 1x12 18 watt combo cab. Works great no complaints and its Purple.

I think I'm gonna get rid of the Blackface Fender Pro Rever 2x12 for a 1x12 combo with reverb. Just havent found anything that sparks my interest yet. I might even consider trading with someone for the right amp.

I realley just need a One Channel amp for clean sounds. Two channels would be OK but not necessary.

Any suggestions?

You should check out ......

...... my thread (Installing a new speaker tonight!) were I installed a Carvin Vintage, 65watt, 8ohm, 10" speaker into my Pignose G40V (all tube, 40 watt, 1-10" combo). I got really great clean tone results from it. Even without the speaker swap, you can get really clean tones with the stock speaker.

Be fore-warned though: whenever the Pignose G40V is talked about here, you get 50% that say the amp is no good, and 50% that say it's great (I'm in the great category). Dis-Harmony Central, has about 30% negative, 60% positive feedback. Some say there are mild to severe tranny problems, bad chinese tubes, questionable wiring, and questionable construction. Others (like me), have had none of those problems. Ive had mine now, going on two years, and it has performed excelently! No tranny problems, still got the stock chinese tubes (and there working greatbut getting ready for a re-tube/re-bias job), and the only thing I have had problems with, is I lost one of the hard rubber feet on the bottom of my amp! That is the only problem I've had with it. It's plenty loud, and nice and portable. I've actually had other guitarist's snickering at me when I come in with my amp (they either have a higher wattage 12" combo, or a twin type 12" combo amp). But funny thing is, they all wanna try out my amp, and they just cant believe it screams like it does! This is strictly my experience with the G40V, other's mileage may vary.

You can pick em up used for about $100.00 (USD), or new for about $200.00, that's what I paid.

ANy way you go, I hope you get what your lookin for! Good Luck!

Well shoot I dont know this thing sounds so good I dont think I could ever have an amp as good as this one. I should probably just keep it and maybe get a back brace. Of coarse it aint as heavey as a twin. It just sounds so good.

How about a 1x15 baffle for the Pro Reverb - instant Vibro-clone. Or you could run 1 12 and block off the other hole. Since it's a BF, you could use a 4 ohm speaker. The trick would be to find a speaker that's not too heavy but has a high enough wattage rating for the amp. Most of the weight is in the transformers and speakers anyway and for a decent clean headroom, you're gonna need 30-40 watts unless you mic everything and that means a certain amount of 'iron' in the transformers.

Also consider a hand truck. I have a Rack & Roller cart I got from AMS that works multiple ways, folds up, but can haul 300 pounds. Kind of an over-grown version of a luggage cart.

I'm toying with the idea of putting the Pro in a Marshall type 18 watt chasis, taking the tremolo circuit out and mounting it in a 1x12 combo Marshall style cab like I did with my Plexi.

Then I would have two matching 1x12 combos. I need to post a picture of the 18 watt combo cab I put the plexi in. Its gorgeous.

If I did that I would have my tech do the work so it would be right.
