Reverb gone out on Hot Rod Deluxe

I have a relatively new (less than 1 year) old Hot Rod Deluxe. I got all set up at a gig about a month ago and noticed the reverb was on like....7, which is CRAZY. (I've only ever had it on like...'2', because it gets so well....reverby.)

Anyways...I pulled it down to '2' or so, but didn't notice any difference from '7' to '2' or anywhere in between. I'm like...what gives? So, this is the first chance I've had to address it.

Anyone heard of this before? I was just posting this to see if it's a common issue or not. It may easily be something just happening to me, but I thought I'd check if it's a known problem with that amp. I love the amp, and I have a pedal for reverb, so I'm not SOL, but I'd like to fix it while under warranty.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

You may want to check at the following website:

http://studentweb.eku.edu/justin_holton/

It is a website devoted to fixing and moding the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp - its very useful. If you look under "Repairs", there is a description of a problem where Reverb drops in and out. You might want to be carefull however if your amp is still under Fender warranty.

If the amp is still under warranty, take it to the nearest Fender repair guy and let him worry about it.

I guess reverb problems are not uncommon on those amps. They are not particularly well made, after all.

I'd buy a used Holy Grail especially if the piece is out of
warranty. If the store plans on charging you, go for The Grail.

Could be just a tube and nothing serious at all. I used to own a HRD, never had a problem with it.

The verb in that amp is not tube driven, take it to a Fender Service Tech and get it handled free.

Big Cookie I forgot about the reverb being ss. You are correct, if still under warranty take it back to the dealer.

Well, I have to disagree there. They may not sound as cool as a lot of more expensive amps, but I can't say anything bad about the durability. Mine lives in the trunk of my car, gets bounced around somthing fierce. Between all the trunk bouncing, extreme tempertures, and 400 plus gigs in the last two years, (not to mention rehearsals and sessions) I would expect any amp to go to pieces. Not the Hot Rod. It's still going as strong as the day I bought it. The only work it has ever needed was a re-tube and bias about a year ago.

If that's how a poorly built amp holds up, those boutique jobs must be able to withstand nuclear blasts.
