I agree
There are those here that will knock it because it's not PTP like the original but I've gigged with them for the past 5 or 6 years and not had any trouble at all.
I had the opportunity last week to A?B a RI with an original. The original sounded very good but I thought that the RI had a fuller tone and was tighter in the bottom end. Tones that I prefer. One of the sales guys liked the RI over the original also. Not saying that this original ws the best representation of a vintge DR but just rrelteing this experience. Anyway, I like them. |

Great amp
Gigged with one for a few years, sold it to a band mate and he's been using it as his main amp ever since. It's going on five years and there's never been a thing wrong with it.
The Tubanistas will tell you it's a boat anchor, but personally I like Fender's RI line. I think they put out a pretty darned good product at a fair price, and used they are a great deal. I can't think of another company that puts out a comparable all-tube amp with a five year transferable guarantee that's better. |
