Anyone use a Weber Mass w/ a headphone out before?

How does it sound. I'm getting a Minimass 50 for my DRRI and was wondering if it was worth getting the headphone out. Does it sound good?

I have a Mass for my Deluxe and it works but I'm not very happy with the results of using a Mass attenuator. I do Have the Headphone input on mine. It does what it says to a point but nothing will give you the tone of the amp tuned up at low volume
Like using a lower wattage amp from m y experience. Having said that for the cost of one it's worth a try. They are alot less expensive than say the THD.

I guess I should have said so originally, but I'm not planning on using the attenuator for bedroom use (beyond the headphone out). I'm using it to cut some of my volume for gigs so that I can get a better live tone. I find that the DRRI is just a bit too loud for almost all my gigs.

Are you using yours in this way or are you trying to get good low volume sound out of the amp? I'm just asking because most people that I've gotten opinions from that are looking for bedroom levels are never satisfied, but people who use them loud tend to like them more. Just curious which side you stand on.

If you just want to cut a bit of overall volume as you drive the amp I would say, yeah, it's pretty cool for that - but low volume, bedroom, headphone...Just doesn't do it for me. But again they bare so cheap its worth a try for yourself. I'll sell you mine which was used once with the Headphone option for $25.00 plus shipping.
PM me if you like
