SFPR - Weber 10F150 or 10F150T?

For my SF Princeton Reverb- Not sure which to choose.. what are the differences between these speakers? I want to one that will have the sweeter breakup when pushed. Thx...

The weber descriptions state that the T is voiced for clear aggressive highs. both have later/smoother breakup.

the F150's are very nice well balanced speakers across the entire line, just grab a 10F150 and be set. I wouldn't worry about the T unless you were loading a particularly dark amp.

You'll notice a much different break up with an A150, but you didnt as about those.

Both great speakers. I've used and liked both in a PR. FWIW I have a 10F150T in my '67 PR, and I don't find it to be too bright.

I just ordered one of each to put in to a Custom Vibrolux Reverb that I intend to VibroVerbize soon.

if you're looking for sweeter breakup, have you considered an alnico???

How would you compare the alnico 10A150 to these.. Is there a trade-off?

the alnicos give up the goods a little sooner ... the sound isn't as in-your-face as many ceramics. downside: the lows may not be quite as tight. upside: highs won't be as piercing and you may get a creamier breakup. i'm just talking generalities here, every amp/speaker combo has its own voice.

alnico has a warmer, grittier compressed break up when pushed.

ceramic has a more defined, punchier breakup.

Alnico can get mushy, ceramic can be shrill.

From my experience when playing clean-ish alnico has very slightly sweeter and more complex highs and ceramic has better defined lows.

I have a PRRI and I put a Weber 10a125 and to my surprise it blends the black face sound to a sweet Tweed sounding...not as aggressive as a Tweed Deluxe but it blends IMHO the Tweed and black face sound nicely

+1 for 10F150T...

I have the "older designation" C10NQ in my SFPR; been in there for a few years now and it sounds huge.
