MESA 2x12 closed back cab....

.....anyone have experience? I don't know if it's part of the "Rectifier" series or not. Says MESA Engineering on the front. Well used, lots of scuffs and stuff, but I tried it out (bought at Guitar Center), they let me have for $150 cash. That seemed fair. I was told it had Celestion Vintage 30s in it.

Anyone know anything about it? Good "ka-chunka-chunka" sound?

That's kinda what I'm looking for. Will likely pick up a head here in the next couple weeks.

I used one of the vertical 2x12's once with my MkIIc combo ala Keith... - you know what it sounded like with a Tele ;) :) Pretty sure that one had EVs. Since then I've run the Boogie on top of my small Dual Showman bottom a few times for outdoor gigs... that's pretty cool too.

even though I dislike Boogie amps I have found most of their cabinets to be TOP notch!A friend has a 1x12 loaded with an EV 12" and it is one of the best cabs I've ever heard.

Thanks for input...

.....I did confirm it has the Celestion v30s in it. Everything works fine, the folks down at the shop told me they'd mod it for free to stereo (already has a two-jack mod, one input isn't connected tho).

I'd sure love to have a half-stack, but for the price I guess I should give this a try.
