the perfect TR speaker

I just want the collective wisdom on this , subjective opinion , and why

I`m going to turn my vibrosonic reverb into a TR .

I have always gotten good input from all of you , so your opinion is what I`m after.

Thanks

Weber California 12" with paper dome. Big clean tone. Does your VR have a removeable baffle to make the speaker change?

baffel/

hey ,jonz no the baffel is the glued in type .
I just going to get a new (used) TR cab, what ever I can find. I`m hoping to find a reasonable used one.

My first thought was , JBL D120s, I here the webers are in the same sonic territory.

the weber c12n was another thought

or the blue dog

or the vintage 30

I have some blackplate 6l6s, if that figures into it .

the plate voltage is 408v so I could use 5881`s

do you use the alnico or ceramic california`s

if you are looking for a big clean tone:

1.EV EVML12"
2.JBL D 120
3.JBL K 120
4.FANE ALNICO 100W

save yourself some $$

I have 2 Eminence Red,Whiteand Blues 12" in my Twin.
They are $65 each and are rated at 120w rms and 240 w peak. The beauty about them is that you do not get the shrill high end a JBL will give you.

Big fat tone and not muffled like a lot of the new speakers coming out. I think a lot of boutique speaker companies are catering to bedroom players by making their speakers sound real dark, but if you're a player, you know you need to cut live. So a dark speaker will not do.

It sounds very similar to what I like about the Cannibis Rex as well. This is a very good line of speakers it seems to me. Serious contenders in various forms these days.

Hey Nick, I just picked up a K120, it sounds amazing. The guy I got it from also has a 10" JBL in his Super Champ.
