There is no printed circuit board in this amp.

Yes, there is no printed circuit board at all in this amp. I'm not basing my info on photos, I actually own one and have seen the inside of it.

Well, I called again. Yesterday I was told they just sold out that morning. I called back this morning to see if anyone knew if they were getting more and guess what? They just sold out a few minutes ago. Huh. So, 2 calls, 2 days, 2 different stories. He said this morning he "just called ampeg and they are discontinued and won't be getting anymore". Do we trust these liars? I think not. I have a feeling I won't ever be getting anything from SA ever again.

Well, ok, yes. Just to make sure there was some difference I guess, yesterday I was told they had a waiting list of 20 people. Today the story was they weren't getting anymore. Reminds me of how I play guitar, making it up as I go along.

I called and they are aware SA has none and won't be getting any so no. No price match but they are also out. They at least claim they will be getting some but these are discontinued. The salesman thought the price would come down when they got them in.....I said the salesman. So who knows?

Here is the SA deal. Yesterday I placed a phone order for the amp and was #18 on the list. Today I checked online for my order and it is just gone. The boys at the Gearpages are saying the same thing, the orders were just deleted with no explanation...I joked over there that if they didn't bother to call me then I can't imagine they called my credit card company to cancel...

I am going to go hang out at my local shop...since yesterday I got the run around from every major retailer in the market.

I noticed that MF doesn't have them listed on their site anymore either. Hmmm....that's odd since they wouldn't price match yesterday and the last time I looked they were still selling them for $850.

I had placed my order for the J20, on Monday morning. I got the confirmation code e-mailed to me. Came home last night to a message on my machine that they do not expect any more coming in and have cancelled my order.

Hhhmmm. That's interesting.

I can't speak for ZZounds (since I never order from them anymore) but I've used the "price match" thing a couple of times with MFriend/Music123 and never had a problem.

Once I e-mailed a link to them and once I told them on the phone. And they matched it.
