Help me choose an amp.

I'm looking at the Valetech Hayseed or the Genz Benz Black Pearl, but I'm not entirely sure. Here's what I want the amp to sound like: For cleans, I'm looking for that full bodied chime and sparkle with a 3Dish sound, lots of clean headroom too. For overdrives, I just want it to accept pedals exceptionally well. I'll be playing out of a Warmoth Strat with Lollar Blackfaces, the overall tone of the guitar is brighter than the average Strat because of the "solid ebony neck", its really bloodwood but the tone is very similar. My price range is between $500-1200. Maybe Tele_Jas could chime in, I've listened to his sound clips, but the genz benz sounded kinda thin and the hayseed sounded kinda fuzzy, maybe it was just the recording?
Oh yeah, I don't want a 10 or 15 knobs to mess with, less is more.

less is more? 1000-ish pricerange.
yeah, try a Dr. Z.
for headroom a MAZ 38 or Stangray, which will get a little up there in price though..
MAZ 18 are damn loud and get the sparkle and 3D down pat. Not as much clean headroom though.
Ebay has some great deals on Dr. Z's and the used ones come pretty highly recommended actually.
Oh, also a Rx Jr or Sr could be good for you.
Try em out if you can, they are SO worth it.

I looked at the Dr. Zs for a while but even getting them used can be pretty expensive, I was looking at the Stang Ray and the KT-45 but both of those were over $1500. I just want a simple answer from Tele_Jas, which amp has better cleans? The Hayseed or the Black Pearl? I'm leaning towards the Hayseed but I'm not really sure.

A Peavey 3120 fitted with 6L6 tubes plus your favorite speaker cab would be exactly what you want except it has two extra channels.

I've had the Hayseed 30 head for several years now, and the honeymoon has never ended. It's just a wonderful amp. It's got your basic sparkly Vox chime, and a great full low end. (I'm playing through a cab with 2X12 AlNiCo Blues.) :-) There's a 15w/30w switch in the back along with a master volume. Even at 15w it kicks some serious butt.

I also got the EF86 option on the first channel and that offers a killer Marshall-y crunch, with three tone options on the back. Yum. :-)

Built like a tank, too. Don't want to sway you too much -- okay, just enough ;-) -- but it really is a great amp. Hope it helps, CS

Edit: To answer your actual question -- D'oh! it's got plenty of clean headroom and takes pedals very well. (FullDrive 2 and Boss chorus, anyway.) Best of luck.
