My old Premier practice amp is dead. It keeps blowing fuses. I have replaced the tubes. Could it bethe Transformer? I haven' t cracked it. I was in need of some expert advise first. __________________

Take it to a repairman.
Could be as simple as an old failed solder or could be much more complicated.

Old amp? ......electrolytic caps. Keep your fingers crossed on the transformer question. This is one good reason for recapping old amps.....to save the transformer. The other reason is to hear good sonics.
