The cleans and Vox stuff are very comaprable......kinda close with some JJs' in there.
With MullardsI'm diggin it so much that the D/13 is down in Texas and I have a wad of cash in my pocket......... For me its better because I can take it out and about and no worries.....thick side is harsh to my ears with the stock Sovtek.....With the JJ and Mullards its great........ Its not as good as the D/13....simular for sure. But the D/13 will walk all over it. But considering the price the Vox works better for me.

I will........should have something going by the 4th.
Its getting real humid here in So.ILL. So that has slow things down alot. Just about lost my Freddy-G R'ang Plankster to a some bad blush out of the Nitro clear......But I saved it. ![]() Should have this wired and fired up in about 2 weeks.

The cleans are really, really good and up to overdrive as good as alot of amps out there.........boost the signal and its laughable the tones that come out of this little amp......I have been so busy and I don't have but about a 1 hour or 2 on it but I'm also starting to dig the thick side alot too....They must be getting hard to find becasue I have had some crazy offers on mine..........FUN amp.......but what the draw to it is what you get for the $499.........cheapy HG Reverb really puts it over the top and I don't really need any other pedals.........clean boost and distort-o' go along way.

I'm running mine into a Egnater 1x12 with a 15w Weber Blue Dog in it and it's the cat's ass. It also pushes my 2x12 with Lead 80's in it no problem what so ever. Great piece.
Peace. J.J.B. |

Jack,I may try that speaker.......For what they are price wise....the Jensens are OK. But the Weber sounds the way to go for both clean and crunchy tones.

Does it sound like a Vox? I say that because I've played a Tiny Terror and while it sounds like a great overdrive, it doesn't sound all that much like an Orange amp.
Looks great though! I love the sparkle! Johnny Isaacs

Popped some Mullard EL84s' and 1 Sovtek 12AX7(B) and 1 Mullard 12AX7 and I really impressed with this tube combo.......my son and 2 daughters were sitting in the same room and they said how good it sounded with this set of tubes......it does dirty up somewhat sooner on the bright but use the volume knob on your guitar and it cleans up really good........
I'll get flamed but I gotta say I don't miss my Divided by 13 JRT 9/15 at all now. IF you are wanting a good tube head with chime and dirt......this would be a great choice.

I heard a great clip of it on TGP. not too long ago in the demo section?,the gentlman said he ran it dry with just a bit of verb via protools and it sounded better than any youtube vid I have come across, unapoligeticly vox/tele tone.I listen to it every time I consider settling for an ac15.K

My pedal board is guitar-Boss tuner-Monster FX Eldorado OD-AMT Distorstation-Monster FX Swamp Thang-Holy Grail Reverb out to amp.......Very pleased with this setup and the VOX NT works very well.......I'll try to get a clean and dirty clip up.
