New Vox Night Train V112NT Cab!
Don't know if you guys have seen this yet, but here ya go! I don't have any info on it yet, but here's a pic at least.
![]() ![]() EDIT. Just got the info. Cabinet Convenience Equipped with both 8Ω and 16Ω speaker jacks, Night Train can be used immediately with nearly any speaker cabinet. Naturally, we recommend VOX extension cabinets. This extra measure of versatility is just one more example of why Night Train may be the one amp you never leave at home. To complement the Night Train, both cosmetically and tonally, a specially voiced 1 x 12″ speaker cabinet (V112NT) is available. The V112NT weights in at just 11kg, compact yet full sounding, the cabinet features a Custom VOX Celestion 'Greenback' speaker. The Night Train V112NT cabinet will be available Summer 2009. |

These are really cool. I just had one but opted for the AC 15 because I use reverb and Trem and I had a Celestion Blue. But what I cool package in the Night Train and it rips!

Did you get your Night Train yet? If so, how do you like it? I'm particularly interested in the amount of clean headroom. I've been reading completely opposite things about the headroom on other sites. Some people say it has a good amount of clean headroom, and others say it breaks up really early.

Not alot of time on mine.......Thick side wasn't doing it for at first but I'm getting there.
I pulled the preamps tubes and loaded up some JJ ECC82 tames the harsh thick side and makes my ears happy......Clean headroom in a 15 watt package is a tuff call.......I won't be able to use amp with my bass player and drummer until church Sun.......But I think for what I'm doing I'll be fine.......I can mic' if I need to. I still checking it out and early word is a whole lot of amp for not alot of $$$........Good time to be a guitar hack.

Hey let me add that clean and Vox chime to the dirty stuff is very nice.....I'm guessing with decent set of NOS tubes......It'll be crazy good for the price........forget that, it already is.........very touch sensitive and I'm just parting ways with my D/13 JRT 9/15.......I do miss it it alot....but this Lunch-Vox makes it better not having it here in the cows and corn......I still say with some NOS tubes its gonna be really good.

Ok so I play mostly cleans but I do play a lot of dirty stuff too. I play mostly Hendrix, SRV, Blues, Classic Rock. Would this amp be good for that. I have been wanting a stack for a while. And I'm not sure if this has been covered but are the high gain sounds harsh because I have been hearing that a lot.

I will be too just as soon as one of my sales that did becomes final. I'm just wondering if any one has try it with matching cab? I know that someone on youtube has used a vintage 30 speaker with night train and it sound good.

Cool thing is at that price, you can afford to buy one with a cab and buy another head as a backup if you want.
I had just dropped an obscene amount of money on a boutique Deluxe clone about 6 months before I played one of these. I IN NO WAY regret that purchase, but I have to say -- my amp doesn't sound over $1000 better than this one. Very, very fine job they did on this little monster. |

Best place to ask that question would be at the vox forum
