A pretty good summation I would say. We have used them in everything from 1x12 combo amps to 4x12 speaker cabs. The 16 ohm is difficult/impossible to find. They are a great upgrade for the Peavey C30. With that said, I think the Red Coat Private Jack is a good compromise, and easier to come by.
What is your interest in a GB-12?

I just scored 2 of them for $0.00 . I plan to make a 212 combo with them using my Pignose G40V.

Yeah, I give away everything I don't like. That's why I don't buy anything I don't like! lol
Those will light that Pig up.....or maybe he had ragged them out and they are dragging or not working. I don't like speakers that don't work, either. Good luck with them.

These things look almost new, I'll hook them up this weekend and see how they sound. If nothing else I'll have scored a couple of magnets for the fridge. :)

Bluesbend, nothing can defeat the power of positive thinking. Those magnets will hold the family portrait, I would think. Good luck with them....if they are in working condition, you are a fortunate fellow.

An update to yesterdays post. I've found out that the speakers I scored are not Legends, but the stock Blue Marvels that the guy swapped out of his Classic 50 combo. Still, they gotta sound better than what's in the Piggy.

I picked up a GB-128 a couple years ago. One of the best speaker purchases I ever made.

GB 128 is a tremendous speaker....like a greenback only fuller, wider spectrum of frequencies.
