Fender Princeton... Lego!
if you frequent offsetguitars.com, you may have already seen this, but i thought i'd post it here to share the lego-y princeton-y goodness!
about 2 weeks ago it struck me to build an amp using my old bin of lego i've been hanging onto since i was a kid (so it's been 15 years or so, lol!) since becoming a jim campilongo fan, i've had princeton reverb GAS, so it's natural that i'd choose that model. the single-speaker combo factor also came in handy, since i was working with a limited amount of lego. so it took around a week of planning and building. none of it is glued together, and no pieces were altered, etc, to make the final product work. i went for a late 60s silverface look, btw. enough chatter, here's the pr0n! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() the front grill folds down to about 45 degrees, the knobs will turn, back panels are removable, and with a bit of wiggling, the chassis slides in/out. so yeah, hope you like it, or get a little laugh out of it, at least. oh! and i sent it to jimcampilongo.com this past weekend... jim's response was positive, haha. |

I simply can't believe what I see.
Fender should give you a princeton (then you'd have two!). When the insides pic came I was already speechless... I suppose it sounds like a princeton. What tubes are you using? |

i can't imagine the hours and thought and patience that went into your "amp".....

I was freaked out BEFORE I saw the pictures of the internal components, and after that I almost fell out of my chair. That is simply fantastic--Fender SHOULD give you an amp for free in exchange for letting them use that on your site.
