59 Bassman and the Radio Station !
Hey Guys
Sometimes I let my hair down and let the Bassman be cranked up and let lose ! When I do and have the lead placed into the input jack I start picking up the local radio station - wierd. How do I get around this ? Shall we say that I do not need the competition ! Thanks in antipication. Regards Paul

Have you tried different guitars and/or cables? Check that the actual shield on your guitar cable is connected at both ends of the cable. Some of the 'fancy' cables only connect it at one end and occasionally this can cause problems. Also check that the string ground is actually ground. You can also try turning the amp 90 degrees to see if it goes away. I'm assuming it's plugged into a properly grounded 3 prong outlet or whatever down under....
Is it playing a station you like??? ;) ;)

Hello all
The cable is a George L. The amp is a home made 59 Bassman replica. The guitar is a custom Robben Ford with Bill Lawrence L 465 Humbuckers and it is sheilded. Does this help ? Regards Paul
