which 6L6 tubes give the best clean headroom?
Hi guys i need to know which 6L6 tubes will give me the best clean headroom for a fender bassman 59RI. i play in a rock and roll/Rockabilly band so i need the most clean headroom possible any suggestions?

If they're still available, a pair of JAN Phillips 7581s are what you are looking for. Monster headroom, tight clean bass and they last almost forever.
They may all be gone. P.

Depends a lot on how you bias the amp too. Simply plugging in a particular brand of tubes doesn't guarantee anything.
