5963 for PJ phase inverter??

hey how would a 5963 (supposedly similar to a 12au7)work in the phase inverter position of a pro junior? i hope they'd be ok because i just bought 2!

i had a 12at7 in the PI with a 5751 in the preamp. is that a bad idea? just wondering because the 12at7 went crapper yeasterday. just started hissing loudly. bummer because i really liked the sound of that combination. lot's of clean headroom. hoping the 12au7 isn't too crunchy for me.

Should work just fine. The 5963/12AU7 will be lower gain, slightly cleaner sound.
