I've heard a bunch of modeling amps. To my ears it's better than the Fender Cyber series and all the Line 6's I've personally heard. The Valvetronix works in a band context, many of the others don't. The models of Vox amps are better than the other amp modelers, and sound very good. The Fender and Dumble models also sound very good. The amp's voicing is closely matched to the factory Celestion speakers, and won't sound the same without them. The 12ax7 tube in the output section gives you a lot of the power-tube response of a real tube amp, there's a solid state amp following that which makes the signal louder.
