Has anyone played a new "Custom 15" Twin yet?
Sounds like just the ticket to carry the clean side if the gig (while I'll never, ever replace the Vicky 35310 for the tweed/dirty tones!)
I know it's a TRRI under the hood, but the 15" speaker does sound intriguing, and I love the way 15s sound with Teles in general. Anyone try one? Maybe post a review? Thanks, Bill

For what they're askin'
get the Real Deal. Get a Silverface non-master volume
OR, a Dual Showman TFL5000D. A. Change out the baffle in the Silverface Twin and drop in your 15" speaker. B. J.D.Newell has been building Combo Cabs for TFL5000D's for some time and has it down for a good price. Personally Fender Amps with Circuit Boards just don't cut the mustard for me. I spent the money for a 1st generation "Dog Bone Bassman" and have been very disappointed....so disappointed in fact that I'll only buy Fenders up to the "Rivera Era" and that's it.

Our pedal steel player just got one, and he said it's "The Sound."
He might bring it to rehearsal tonight! I guess he had a little problem with the baffle board rattling on those long pedal steel dives, and he's trying to reinforce the baffle. I'm looking forward to hearing it. |
