losing volume?
I was at a practice tonight and something was happening, possibly:
my blues junior was losing volume (didn't go past 1 o'clock on either vol) , there was semi-frequent note cancellation, something went on with the pickups, or my 3 week old high e died on me to the point of almost not being able to hear it sometimes....I sounded good for the first 2 hours, turned up and tweaked a little bit and then things went wacky. Do any of these sound like symptoms of anything to anyone? Or has anyone had similar experiences? This was a first for me in playing with these guys about 15 times. All new JJs 2 months ago. thanks for anyone's opinions. |

thanks Stan
I had no clue about parasitic oscillation....still don't know too much!
The only recent work on the amp was replacing all tubes, including a 12AT7 in place of an AX7 in V3 and some 'cooler' EL84s. Did some google'ing and found some enlightening reading. I appreciate your help. |
