Since I have my amp opened up (Hotrod Deluxe built early 2000), I figured I will go ahead and change out my power supply filter caps. 22uf-500v and
47uf-500v but everyplace i looked, nothing over 450v. any ideas on some good quality caps??

Why do you want to replace them? They are Illinois, which is a perfectly good cap, and they are only 8-9 years old. You can get 500V Illinois at Hoffman:
http://www.hoffmanamps.com/MyStore/p...ER_ID=!ORDERID! Hoffman has excellent and fast service and is well-known and respected in the amp-building community. F&T makes very good caps, also in 500V. I use F&T in all my builds, they are made in Germany and of course easy to find here. Here's an eBay shop for you (searched at random): http://stores.ebay.com.au/Tube-Amp-S...QQftidZ1QQtZkm steven

hoffmanamps.com mouser.com and many others TubesAndMore is great and I will be a loyal customer as long as they have good prices, great customer service, and fast shipping. They aint screwed up on me yet... plus they have Illinois and other brands...

Remember reading somewhere that high voltage caps in critical equipment should be replaced every 10-12 years. If one goes, it usualy spikes and could take out other stuff with it. Doing some mods and have the amp opened, so i figured for the $25-30 investment, it would be worth it for peace of mind.
BTW, Thanx

Well, the caps probably have quite a few years left on them. But as long as you are opening it up and replacing stuff, it can't hurt, unless you lift the traces.
And when you're done, your go for another ten years or so. I still have the originals in my '97 deville, but on the other hand I never use that amp any more. steven
