Yup - they're a lot better than one would/should expect for the price. Have several tube fenders, which I love, but the 'lil' Pathfinder gets lots of use.

I have had mine for 5+ years and the honeymoon just continues. Paired with a nice OD pedal it's absolutely wonderful.
The PF15R is very much a real amp for a toy's price tag. I have gigged with mine and I have on multiple occations seen touring acts use one. How often do you see that with $120 amps? |

I picked up an older pathfinder with verb and trem at a pawn shop for $40 out the door. Great little amp. For a while, I ran it stereo with a Vox DA-15, ( which is a great little amp in it's own right ) but finally sold the DA-15 as the PF did the trick by itself quite nicely.
The PF sounds equally great with teles, strats, 335's, etc.....and it loves low gain dirt pedals. I hooked it up to a speaker cab housing an 80's Dean Markley 50 watt ceramic 12" speaker, but the stock 8" actually sounds better. I would like to get more clean headroom out of it, but I guess I should just leave well enough alone and dig it for what it is.......a great little toneful amp! |
