Fender Super 210

I've got a chance to buy one of these, but does anyone know:
- how good the clean channel is
- does it take pedals well?
Also, I hear it's really heavy, can you put wheels/castors on it easy?

Howdy,

I've had the single 12-inch speaker variant of this amp for 16 years, The Super 112. It's heavy, alright. Great clean tone. The gain channel is useless to me, but I'm a Keith Richards disciple. As for pedals, I can't help. It's also been reliable despite the awful reputation of Fender's red knob amps. Mine's a keeper. Good luck!

Is this a vintage tweed super w/ 2x10" speakers? I had a Victoria 210 Super that was a great amplifier. It had enough headroom live for a clean tone and broke up nicely when driven. In fact, I even used an attenuator on it for the smaller venues. Mine worked well with pedals and it was not heavy at all.

Howevr, I have a feeling you may be referring to some other model.

I have both the Super 60 and the Super 210. Great amplifiers both. Bought the 210 about 10 years ago for $300. This is a very heavy amp. I put casters on mine but that doesn't help much hauling it up and down stairs. The clean channel is all that a great Fender amp should be. It has an effects loop so pedals are easy to add. Not sure what you mean by "does it take pedals well?" This amp is ideal for classic rock and blues. Don't think I'd buy one for heavy metal. I feed it a tele, a strat, HBs and P90s. Sounds great with all. Personally, I like the p90s best.

Uhm, pickalittle. Isn't that a 4x10 cabinet and not an 2x10? (just being picky;-)
