Blond "Bandmaster" Head Question? Cab, ohms etc.
Hello, I have a Blond Bandmaster head..... I'm pretty sure it is a 4 ohm Transformer.( the Tube Chart has been painted over). It has a newer and larger kendrick's tansformer. I was told it is 4 ohm. so i'll stick to my story.
the question is , I need a cabinet... I will be getting one made. The earlier "Brown Tolex 3X10" Cabinet Crossed my mind. I imagine it would fit? Any make this cabinet (Correct Everything). I researched and found out the old (Tolex 3X10)Bandmasters had three 8 ohm speakers wired in parallel = 2.6 ohms! Any why to get three 10 inch speakers closer to 4 ohms? I have Weber in mind. would running 2.6 ohms screw up the transformer? would it screw up the tone. Bad idea? any info and help would be great. thanks |

advise Ted of what you need and he will make it
probably a four ohm bassman OT. Fender used eight ohm speakers alo by the way. Do you know if the Ot is a multitap you could tell by sliding the chassis out or looking at the wiring coming out of the Ot (three on one side bl/brown/red-two on the outside green/black any more than two it's a multi) If it was a multi I'd use the 2 ohm tap and run three eights
