GC snafu goes in my favor!
Most of you know that I bought a Crate V18 from GC, for a closeout/blemished price ($170.00 bucks delivered too my door), on Wednsday.
Well, Friday morning when I checked my GC Account, I see my amp still waiting at a GC Warehouse, still not sgipped. I call CS, and they say, "Oh, they're just making sure it works before we ship it too you." Uh-huh, riiiiiight! "No worries there Mr. PraiseCaster, that amp will be shipped out this afternoon!". The thought crosses my mind, I really shouldnt hold my breath on this one...... Good thing, I would've needed oxygen: Friday night, still at the GC Warehouse, now I have a new CS rep on the phone, and he doesnt have a clue, so I politely ask for his supervisor before he says another stooopid thing, that makes me respond in something less than kind (I really dont want to go there: I feel bad afterwards). Now I have GC Customer Service Supervisor on the phone and she tells me (after she actually took the time to look into and call people), "It is one of three scenario's: Either the amp was sold out from under you, or, this blem amp is too damaged (ie: wont work), or some warehouse jockey has not filled this order, and it is still setting there onm the dock." She assures me that she will make my order good, one way or the other: 1) She will verify my blem amp is good, and get it shipped. 2) She will get me an un-blem amp for the same deal. (come on un-blem'd amp!) So she tells me, she'll get it out Monday morning first thing. Monday Morning, still on warehouse floor. Monday evening, still on warehouse floor, no shipper in sight, but I cant call, cause I'm tied up with family business. This morning, no change. I finally get a chance top talk to a GC CS Supervisor, that really seems to carry some clout: He not only said this is what he is going to do (new amp closeout/blemish price), got the order changed right then and there on-line (I saw it change), next day air arranged (got a tracking number), and I should have my amp waiting for when I get home Thursday night from work! How cool is that? Yeah, I know there was some hassle too it, but its working out for the better.......... |

I've never had trouble buying from GC, either in person or from the website. Two weeks ago I ordered the V33h amp head and the matching 2x12 cabinet on closeout for under $300 dollars. the amp and cab with extended warranty (extra, of course) were shipped to my door for about $350 complete. I ordered on Tuesday, had the head on Friday and the cab on the following Monday. No problems. I've got that kind of service on everything I've ordered from them.
