Eminence Delta Demon - Anyone Tried One?

I need some dark 10's for a couple of particularly bright amps.

I've had great success with Ragin Cajuns and 105's, but have a feeling that they might be a little toppy for these amps. They both have simple tweed tone controls, so dialing out a majority of the top end isn't really realistic.

I really like the Lil Buddy - so much so that I've passed on the Delta Demon a few times now. I wonder what I'm missing, and I like that the DD is ~$15 cheaper. For 2X10 and 4X10 setups, it adds up.

I know that Weber has the 10F100 for the same price as the Lil Buddy, but I can get Emi's shipped to my door in less than 48 hours, and I'll be putting 50 watts or more into a 2X10 design, with EL34's. Even KT66's and robust 6L6's would really work them over. I'd hate to blow out a 10F100.

Anyone try the Delta Demon? Anyone compare it to a Lil Buddy or 10F100?

I've got delta demons in my Roland cube 30s and LOVE them. I'm playing clean jazz tones and they're fat, lush, sweet. The cube 30 was harsh at the high end, ice pick brittle and the demon smoothed it out perfectly! I say go for it.

I have a Delta Demon paired with a Copperhead in a 210 cab. I drive it with a BF Vibro Champ that has a gain mod. I love the blend of the two speakers. If you want a dark tone, go for it.

I have a Delta Demon in my Super Champ. I got it because I wanted as much bass as possible and I wanted to tame the highs. I've been happy with it, but I'm considering getting the Lil' Buddy as I feel it could use a little more high, not much, just a tad more than what the Delta Demon offers.

I've been doing a lot of reading now and I think I'll go for the Lil' Buddy.
